A Kansan without medical credentials who performed illegal autopsies was ordered by a judge to pay $510,000 in penalties and fees as well as $254,000 in restitution for violating consumer protection laws and other state statutes, the attorney general said Wednesday.
WILMINGTON, Ohio (AP) — An armed man clad in body armor who tried to breach the FBI’s Cincinnati office on Thursday was shot and killed by police after he fled the scene and engaged in an hourslong standoff in a rural part of the state, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said. The confrontation came as officials warned of an increase in threats against federal agents in the days following a search of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
A new training module for Kansas law enforcement agencies focusing on investigations of missing and murdered Indigenous people is now available. The Kansas Attorney General’s Office partnered with the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center to develop the training, according to a news release from the attorney general’s office.
