The fireworks show scheduled for after Friday’s regular-season home opener for the Hays Larks has been postponed until a later date. The company which puts on the show had an emergency, said Larks manager Frank Leo.

Some of the children who were remembered at a recent memorial service in Hays have been gone a quarter century or more. Some of their parents are now deceased also.

Hays Aquatic Park will be opening for the summer this Saturday. The park will have new hours, opening at 12:30 and closing at 6:30.

The service will feature music by Trilogy, a flag raising by the Marine Corps League, laying of the memorial wreath by the American Legion Auxiliary, Roll Call, read by members of various military organizations, a tribute to Memorial day by 1Sgt (Ret) Jessica Brooks, & concluding with a Rifle Salute & Taps.
