ECHS annual meeting set for Monday
The Ellis County Historical Society Board of Directors’ annual meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday at the Stone Church at Seventh and Main. There will be a members’ vote for officers and four trustee positions.

The Humane Society of the High Plains is replacing their annual Soup’R’Bowl fundraiser with a shoe drive, organized by Funds2Orgs. The fundraiser began on January 10 and will last until March 10. Anyone who chooses to donate is encouraged to bring lightly worn, used or new shoes to the Humane Society.
