According to the Ellis County “2024 General Election Official Results” posted on the County’s website voter turnout for this year’s election was 66.74%. This percentage decreased nearly 7% compared to the 73.72% voter turnout reported in the County’s 2020 official result report, even though there were 1,550 more registered voters in 2024 (20,431 registered voters) than in 2020 (18,881 registered voters.) In 2024, 13,636 ballots were cast in Ellis County’s 35 precincts versus 13,919 in 2020 with approximately 7% more voters this year (7,607) choosing to cast their ballots on Election Day compared to 2020 (6,816.)
