Toast to Yost, Windholz as 2024 Monarch Queen and King

Thomas More Prep-Marian celebrated their Homecoming game and dance over the weekend, crowning Shyanne Yost and Jace Windholz as queen and king at halftime of the TMP-Stanton County game. Yost is the daughter of Greg and Candace Yost, Windholz the son of Dan and Melissa Windholz. Against the Trojans, the Monarchs notched their largest victory this season, taking down their opponents 50-7. Read more on A6

City takes possession of long-awaited dump trucks

At the Sept. 26, 2024 City Commission Regular Meeting Deputy City Manager Collin Bielser announced that four new dump trucks for the Public Works Service Division have arrived and that staff had undergone in-depth training on their use by a representative of Wichita Truck Company. He said that he included this item in the Monthly Progress Report to remind everyone that it took two and a half years to get these trucks, as they were a 2022 Budgeted item.
