Shawn Eugene Enlow

Shawn Eugene Enlow, 47, of Russell, Kansas, passed away May 30, 2022. Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons with Pastor Joel Grizzle officiating. The family suggests memorials be given to Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons to help with funeral expenses.

Eric Randall Huffman

Eric Randall Huffman, 54, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 8, 2022. Eric was born June 6, 1967 in Quinter, Kansas to Karen and Galen Huffman. Eric came into this world with special needs, but also with special gifts to share. He was raised by the most amazing parents, treasured by his family, lovingly supported by the entire community in which he grew up, and tenderly cared for by dedicated staff members who selflessly gave their time and energy to bring Eric joy and comfort throughout his adult life. He loved Hot Wheels cars, throwing rocks in the water, riding his bike, markers and crayons, stickers, puppies, music, and anything with a Jayhawk logo on it. He loved attending the Quinter Church of the Brethren the church in which he grew up - with Mom and Dad. He attended Beamgard Learning Center in Atwood, KS until the age of 20, then moved into a group home in Hays, KS, where he lived and was cared for by Developmental Services of Northwest Kansas until 2019. He then lived in Wichita, KS in a Starkey group home until his death.

Vernon “Vern” Eugene Wasinger

Vernon “Vern” Eugene Wasinger, 85 retired banker, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2022. Vernon was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He was born in Hays, KS on August 7, 1936. He attended grade school in Antonino and Hays, KS and was very proud to be a graduate of St. Josephs Military Academy in Hays, KS.
