Leon Earl Kuhn

Leon Earl Kuhn, 70, of Downs, Kansas, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 24, 2022 at his home. Leon was born January 4, 1952 to Remigius and Roberta Kuhn in Russell Kansas. Leon grew up and attended school in Hays, Kansas. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Leon received his associate degree from Barton County Community College. He worked in the oilfield for more than 30 years. Leon enjoyed golfing, fishing and riding his Harley.

Thomas Alfred Nulton

Hoisington, KS- Thomas A. Nulton, 93, died July 23, 2022 at Locust Grove Village in LaCrosse, Kan. He was born January 7, 1929, at Hays, Kan., the son of Charles and Ruby (Bourdette) Nulton. He married Phyllis Wikoff October 21,1951, in Hays. She passed away March 23, 2012. Mr. Nulton worked for Producers Gas Equities Inc. of Hays and was promoted in 1967 as the area superintendent of the Susank division which later became a part of MidWest Energy. Tom retired from MidWest Energy in 1994 and dedicated himself to pursuing his lifelong love of art. He was a Hoisington resident from 1967 until his death.

Judd Thomas Cherryholmes, infant son of Cole Thomas and Nikki Kay (Delzeit) Cherryholmes, Hays, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. After his parents learned about Judd’s sickness, this little fighter lived for another 118 days in his mommy, achieving the status of “full-term baby”.
