Tigers Upend Roadrunners, Smith Scores Twice in Debut
Fort Hays State Men’s Soccer defeated MSU Denver 2-0 on Sunday (Sep. 4), moving to 3-0 in history against the Roadrunners. Redshirtfreshman Tre Smith made an impressive debut as he scored both Tiger goals within a ten minute span. FHSU improved to 2-1-1 overall, while MSUDenver took their first loss and also now sits at 2-1-1.

FHSU women’s soccer wins, remains unbeaten
The Fort Hays State women’s soccer team won 1-0 over Northwestern Oklahoma State on Monday (Sept. 5). The Tigers scored on a corner kick in the first half to take the lead and the defense kept the Rangers out of shooting position to secure the win and their third shutout of the season. FHSU improved to 3-0-1 on the year and NWOSU took its first loss of the year falling to 2-1-1.
Guardians top Royals in 10 to snap skid, regain Central lead
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Óscar González hit a two-run double in the 10th inning and the Cleveland Guardians snapped a five-game losing streak, beating the Kansas City Royals 6-5 on Monday night to regain sole possession of the AL Central lead.
HHS wins tournament opener
The Hays High boys’ soccer team won its first game of the season on Monday, defeating Wichita West 3-0 at the Titan Classic. It was the first victory for firstyear coach Daniel Kelly.

Tigers go 1-1 to start weekend
