Mother Nature made sure there would be no Larks Magic on this night. The Hays Larks, known through the years for late-inning rallies, lost 8-6 to the Liberal Bee Jays in RMBL action Friday night at Larks Park.

Coach Tanner Willhoft viewed the just-completed summer season as a success for the HBC Hammer 18U baseball team, a year after it left the American Legion program. “I thought it went pretty good,” Willhoft said.

The Hays Larks no-hit the Colorado Tribe for the second straight night at Larks Park on Monday, winning 16-1 in a non-league game shortened to seven innings by run-rule. KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Fort Hays State Men's Basketball team and seven of its individuals received NABC academic recognition for the 2021-22 season. FHSU received the Team Academic Excellence Award, holding a team grade point average of 3.218. Geoff Hamperian, Bjarni Jonsson, Jackson Miller, Gabe Pieschl, Jared Vitztum, Devin Walker, and Nyjee Wright were named to the NABC Honors Court.
