NEW ORLEANS - The Fort Hays State track and field programs racked up a school-record 24 USTF-CCCA All-Region honors during the 2022 outdoor season, announced Wednesday (June 22) by the coaches association. Fourteen different student-athletes earned at least one accolade, including nine men picking up 16 awards and five women achieving eight honors.
Dylan Dreiling, a senior outfielder-pitcher for the Hays High baseball team this spring, has been named Class 5A Player of the Year by Sports in Kansas. Dreiling was picked for the all-classification team and selected a first-team outfielder in 5A.

McPHERSON – The HBC Hammer 18U baseball team won a pair of games Friday in the first day of the Bob Hooper Showcase. HBC Hammer won its tournament opener against El Dorado, 23-0 in four innings, then won a slugfest with Kansas Curve, 12-10 in five innings.
