Fort Hays State University head baseball coach Jerod Goodale announced his resignation Monday after four seasons due to personal reasons. Goodale, the 15th coach in program history, was named head coach in May 2018, replacing Steve Johnson.
The Thomas More Prep-Marian girls’ soccer team rallied from a halftime deficit to defeat Great Bend 4-1 on Monday at Cripplegate Field. Great Bend scored in the 18th minute and led 1-0 at halftime.

The 2022 Tiger Softball season closed out Saturday afternoon with a doubleheader at Northeastern State. Starting out the day, the Riverhawks honored Fort Hays’ four seniors with a flower ceremony. The seniors graduating from the program this year are Sara Breckbill, Betsy Parmley, Elise Capra and Jessica Espinoza.

James Rome of Ellis and his daughter, Alyssa, were seated on the front row near halfcourt, long before players from their favorite team took the floor. They both had KU Jayhawks sweatshirts on and had a Jayhawk pennant. They weren’t going to miss a thing.

The Hays High Indian softball team went 2-0 Thursday afternoon, competing against Sacred Heart and Thomas More Prep-Marian at TMP’s triangular. In game one, the Monarchs faced off against the Knights, falling by a score of 4-3.
