KEARNEY, Neb. – In their first meeting this season, Nebraska-Kearney rallied for a win over the Fort Hays women in Hays. The Tigers returned the favor on Saturday, coming from behind to win 76-63 on the Lopers’ home floor.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Kansas City Chiefs have been in this position before. Walking across the cold Arrowhead Stadium parking lot, dressing in their revamped locker room, strolling through the narrow tunnel and spilling onto the field for the AFC title game.
Through all four quarters, the Hays High boys basketball team showed their dominance over the Salina Central Mustangs, coming out with a 58-32 win “I’m proud of how the guys took the scouting report to heart, took the environment, took the officials, and made really smart decisions and played really smart basketball,” Head Coach Alex Hutchins said of his team’s efforts. The first quarter was taken over by the Indians as they went on an 8-0 run to start the game.
The Hays High girls basketball team suffered a loss at the hands of the #1 5A Salina Central Mustangs Friday night. The Indians fell by a score of 68-43.
TMP’s Gavin Unrein was able to spark a 13-3 run with a lay-up off the jump ball to start the game. From then on out the Knights fought back, but the Monarchs were able to hold on, winning Thursday night’s contest 53-42.
The TMP Monarchs were able to hold off a late rally from the Sacred Heart Knights in a 67-48 win in Thursday night’s make-up game. TMP started off strong, outscoring the Knights 25-2 in the first quarter of play.
Jordan Dale, after signing a national letter-of-intent on Wednesday at the Hays High cafeteria to compete in track and field at Washburn University, wants to be an Ichabod high jumper who won a state championship.
