FHSU's Scheck ties for 11th at, Tigers 16th at NSU Men's Classic

The Fort Hays State men’s golf team wrapped up competition at the NSU Men’s Classic on Sept.15-16 at Page Belcher Golf Course in Tulsa, finishing 16th in the team standings at 20-over par. The Tigers showed steady improvement through the three-round event, highlighted by a strong performance from sophomore Cooper Scheck, a Dodge City High School alumnus.

Royals lose ground in Wild Card race as bats go quiet in finale

KANSAS CITY -- The quest for an American League Wild Card playoff spot has been a rollercoaster ride for the Royals -- and they took a bit of a dip on Sunday. After handling the Twins in the opening two games of their weekend series, the Royals arrived at Kauffman Stadium hoping they would be tied with Seattle for the final spot by the end of the day.
