Indians win big in Homecoming WAC matchup
Friday night, the Hays High Indians shut out WAC opponent Dodge City during their 2024 Homecoming game, 26-0. Holden Lind and Ian McGuire highlighted the offense, covering more than 100 yards each in their home victory.
TMP downs Oakley, moves to 4-2
Thomas More Prep-Marian moved to 4-2 on the season Friday night after taking down MCL opponent Oakley in a 28-20 victory, despite injuries to starters in the previous week’s overtime loss to Smith Center. Carson Liles threw for 182 yards in the contest with two touchdowns to lead his team to victory alongside the efforts of receiver Jacob Seib, who notched 88 yards on six receptions with one touchdown.
Tigers remain unbeaten at home
The Fort Hays State University football team remained unbeaten at home this season after a 38-7 win over Washburn on Saturday night. The Tigers are now 5-0 at Lewis Field Stadium.
Tigers Elevate in Receiving Votes Section of AFCA Poll, Face No. 7 Gorillas This Week
Fort Hays State Football received five more votes in the AFCA Top 25 Poll this week than it did in the week prior. The latest poll was released on Monday (Oct. 14). The Tigers are coming off a 38-7 win over Washburn at home this past week.
Monarchs sweep, celebrate seven seniors
Thursday evening, the Thomas More Prep-Marian Monarchs hosted Ellis and Victoria in their home triangular, honoring seven seniors in a sweep of their opponents. Seniors recognized included Shalee Gottschalk, Teagan Gottschalk, Brooke Koenigsman, Macara Rohr, Shyanne Yost, Tessa Wentling and Haley Stecklein.
