Hutchings and Caldwell Earn MIAA Women's Soccer Athlete of the Week Honors

Emily Hutchings and Mackenzie Caldwell of Fort Hays State Women's Soccer were two of the three student-athletes receiving MIAA Athlete of the Week honors on Tuesday (Sept. 24). Hutchings was named the Defender of the Week, while Caldwell was named Goalkeeper of the Week. They joined Hannah Anderson (Offensive Player of the Week) of Northeastern State as the weekly honorees from the conference office.

Men's Golf Third at MSSU Fall Invitational

The Fort Hays State men's golf team finished in a tie for third place at the MSSU Fall Invitational this week (Sept. 23-24), finishing just two shots back of first place. The Tigers combined for a two-round total of 4-over 580 after a 4-over 292 in the first round and an even-par 288 in the second round at Shangri-La Golf Club, a par-72, 7,210-yard track.

Indian faceoff falls in favor of Manhattan

Two seconds would determine the Hays High Indians fate in their match up with Manhattan Friday night. Despite dominating the field in the first half, Hays High would let the Manhattan Indians linger in the wake, taking advantage of every opportunity they were given in the final quarter of the contest. The result, a 1-2 record for the Hays High Indians following a 34-30 loss.
