Tigers Back Among Receiving Votes Section of AFCA Top 25 Poll

After taking its first loss of the season last week at Northwest Missouri State, Fort Hays State Football slid back among the teams' receiving votes in the latest AFCA Top 25 Poll. The Tigers were in the receiving votes section of the preseason poll and moved up to No. 25 last week after a 2-0 start to the season. They have been referenced in all three polls released by the AFCA this year.

Three FHSU Players Named to 2024 Tiger Classic All-Tournament Team

Fort Hays State had three players named to the 2024 Tiger Classic All-Tournament Team. Gracie Rains of FHSU was named MVP of the weekend event, while Grace Schmedding and Caiya Stucky of FHSU also were named to the seven-individual team voted on by coaches. Rayishon Jackman and Brailee Bogle of Emporia State, along with Erika Asencio Soriano and Mariela Jimenez of Northwestern Oklahoma State rounded out the team.

Tigers drop out of rankings after first loss

The Fort Hays State University football team dropped out of both national polls after suffering its first loss of the season on Saturday. The Tigers, ranked No. 21 in one poll and 25th in another, hit the road for the first time and lost to previous winless Northwest Missouri State, 32-20. The Bearcats had lost their first two games of a season for the first time since 1995.

Arneson and Worley Net Goals in 3-1 Win Over SMSU

The Fort Hays State University women's soccer team secured its first win of the season on Sunday (Sept. 15) against Southwest Minnesota State, capping their weekend in South Dakota. Britney Arneson tallied her first two-goal match as a Tiger, while Allison Worley had the goal to break a tie in the second half. Gracen Chaney recorded two assists in the match off of corner kicks.
