Greensburg’s Red Tractor continues to gain ground.

The farm-to-fork restaurant that opened last summer is listed as one of Nightclub and Bar Media Group’s “Top Rated New Hot Spots for 2015.”

The list, which included one spot in each state, was created by analyzing user-generated information from Yelp. The list focuses on bars, nightclubs, lounges and cocktail bars that opened after Jan. 1, 2015 and are not part of a national chain.

Each venue performed at an exceptionally high level during their first year of operation, the group reports.

Renee, from Wichita, wrote: “This place is epic!! Seriously eat here! If you are driving through this little town and are even thinking about getting somethings to eat, this is one I would not pass up!!”

Chris, from Massachusetts, said: “What a fabulous experience. I am driving from coast to coast, sight-seeing along the way. I was surprised to find such fine food in a small town.”

The Red Tractor opened in June. Customers will find a largely local menu – whether it is mushrooms from Lawrence or beef from Protection.

It’s all part of the vision of chef and owner Tod and Angela Barlow – to bring the labor of Kansas farmers to the dinner table.

“We’re excited,” Angela Barlow, said, adding the restaurant is becoming a destination for folks across the region.

“We are on target – hitting our goals we had set for the first year,” she said.
