The Thomas More Prep-Marian golfers finished second at the Goodland Invitational with a team score of 380.
A score of 379 would have tied Goodland for the team title, while a score of 377 would've tied a school record for lowest team score set in 1999.
Sophomore Karee Dinkel shot the Monarchs' low round of 82 and finished one stroke back of Goodland's Logan Perryman.
TMP's No. 2 on the day, Alison Helget, placed fourth overall with a round of 92, while Hannah Michaud and Taylor Dinkel rounded out the team score at 102 and 103, respectively.
Colby finished 15 strokes behind TMP for third place, while a team from Dundy, Colo. placed fourth.
The Monarchs compete again on Sept. 17 in Larned.
