A North Carolina company has acquired service contracts for some Nex-Tech help desk customers, but local help desk services and facilities will remain intact.
Lenora-based Nex-Tech and NeoNova of Raleigh, N.C., announced the acquisition in a press release Tuesday.
The service contracts are with telecommunications companies that outsourced their help desk service with Nex-Tech, said Dustin Schlaefli, Nex-Tech director of customer engagement.
Nex-Tech’s internal help desk services still will be offered through its facilities at 210 E. 12th and in Salina. Some jobs will be affected but it's not known how many, Schlaefli said. If jobs are affected, Nex-Tech will try to find other in-house positions for those affected. NeoNova also has offered to help those affected.
According to the press release, NeoNova assumes immediate responsibility for the acquired help desk contracts.
