There's new food heading to the fryer at the 2015 Kansas State Fair.

"You could eat your way across the fairgrounds," said the fair's Commercial Exhibits Director Sue Stoecklein said.

After all, that is what the fair is known for - deep-fried, artery clogging delicacies that make your mouth water. This year is no different and, of course, there is plenty of new and wacky food to try.

Here's a few of them.

Captain Crunch Corn Dogs - Located at Matt Hall's Family Food's concessions, the new fried stick food is exactly as it sounds.

Fair Grounds - Have some fancy coffees at the new Cottonwood Court venue. Top it off with a cookie featuring your favorite state college mascot.†

Chicken Lollipops - Who can resist bacon wrapped goodness on a stick? Jackson's Meats in Prairie Pavilion is offering the chicken lollipop, which is wrapped in bacon and smoked. †

Noble House Hawaiian Food - Try the three items from this new vendor who hails from Hawaii - fried chicken katsu, kalua pig and cabbage

Pumpkin spice funnel cakes - Besides this newest funnel cake addition to their menu, Westmoreland Concessions will still have its red velvet cake, among others.

Oreo Churros - Find them at the wine garden.

Bacon Wrapped Porkchops - Griffinís sunflower terrace concession

Deep-fried PBJ - Find the deep-friend peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, along with the Krispy Kreme burger, at Carousel Cafe.

Oldies but goodies

Pronto Pup - The "banquet on a stick" is a state fair staple. Find them across the grounds in the yellow huts.

Pancake on a stick - Breakfast is easy at Timís Backyard Burgers

Deep-fried Cheesecake - It's a veteran desert at Granny's Foods.

Buffalo Burger - It's at the old Krehbiels booth, now called Schmitt Enterprises.

Old Texas Soda - This isn't new, but the vendor who makes his own soda has asked for a second location. Moreover, he will sell a souvenir Kansas State Fair offering, which customers can use for discount refills.
