Donald Lee Wireman, age 70, of Hays, Kansas passed away Friday, January 21, 2022 in Hays. He was born August 12, 1951 in McCracken, Kansas to William H. and Alvina G. Wireman. He attended and graduated from Hays High School.

Donald was a professional musician and highly respected and requested Sound Engineer working with many big name acts. Donald is part of the Kansas Music Hall of Fame through his association with the bands, Tempest, The Soul Express and The Beast. Aside from his love of music he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Donald is survived by a daughter, Molly Wireman of Concord, Massachusetts; two brothers, Bill and Terry Wireman of Hays and a sister, Sheila Sander of Woodward, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Missy Wireman and his parents.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, McCracken, Kansas.
