Edward E. Mills, 82, Greensburg, formerly of Natoma, Plainville and Wellington, died Thursday, June 8, 2017, at Kiowa County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg.
He was born Jan. 25, 1935, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Edward Mills and Helen Robbins. He was raised by Ruben and Opal Kirkendall and was a 1952 graduate of Codell High School.
He married Leta Berry on Feb. 11, 1956. She preceded him in death. He was an oilfield worker, cowboy and an associate at Dillons Grocery store in Greensburg.
He was a member of the Kiowa County Senior Center, Greensburg.
Survivors include a son, Mark Mills and Melinda Smith; two daughters, Jeanie Mason and husband, Don, and Valerie Greathouse and husband, Christopher; six grandchildren, Bruce and Ryan Intchauspe, Christina Rudacille, Hannah Metsker, Jamie Lauffer and Jackie Mills; and 10 great-grandchildren, Abby, Gamble, Delani, Amaya, Melina, Brennan, Kaylie, Baylee, Canon and Tucker.
He preceded in death by a son, Edward D. “Eddie” Mills.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Furst United Methodist Church, Greensburg; private inurnment in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg.
Friends can visit the family from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the Kiowa County Senior Center in care of Fleener Funeral Home, Greensburg.
