Women's group to meet, plan upcoming events

"Recognizing His Voice" is the topic of the September Phoebians meeting.

Betty Rupp will conduct the meeting, and Pat Albrecht will present the lesson. The meeting will be at the home of Gloria Funk, 2925 Hillcrest, at 7 p.m. Tuesday. All women interested in this congregation are invited to attend.

Hays Christian Church women chose the name Phoebians for their women's group in honor of Phoebe mentioned in Romans 16:1 as "a servant of the church" and "a great help to many." One purpose of the group is to serve the congregation by conducting social events, and upcoming events will be planned at this meeting. An equally important purpose is to provide spiritual growth and support to each other.

One of their projects is providing encouragement to the servicemen and women who have a connection to Hays Christian Church.
