Roland Lee Turner, 86, Quinter, died Thursday, March 12, 2015, at his home.

He was born May 10, 1928, in rural Quinter to Lee Marlin and Della Kathryn (Long) Turner. He was a 1947 graduate of Quinter High School.

He married Irene O. Deines on Nov. 9, 1963, in WaKeeney. She preceded him in death June 25, 2007.  He was a farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.  

Survivors include two brothers, Max, Burlington, and Wesley, Quinter; and a sister, Louise Hisey, Colorado Springs, Colo.

He was preceded in death by a son, Randall Troy Turner.

Services will be at  10:30 a.m. Friday at Church of the Brethren, Quinter; burial in Baker Township Cemetery, Quinter.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m.  Thursday  at Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter.

Memorials are suggested to Church of the Brethren, Quinter, in care of the funeral home.
