Edgar Lawrence Zordel, 86, Baldwin City, died Friday, Jan. 29, 2016.

He was born Nov. 11, 1929, in Lehigh, N.D., to L. D. and Flossie Shero Zordel. He graduated from Ransom High School.

He was self-employed as an auto mechanic in Russell, retiring in 2007. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.

He was an avid bowler, having bowled a 300 game Jan. 16, 1995.

Survivors include two sons, Donald and wife, Tammie, Baldwin City, and James, Russell; a daughter, Carol and husband, Timber, Bailey, Colo.; his siblings, Loren and Bob Zordel, Hill City, Dell Zordel and LaVonne Nelson, Denver, and JoAnn Schuessler, Hutchinson; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Irma and Alice; a daughter, Rita; a son, Robert; and his siblings, Dwayne, Donald, Marion Overbay, Delores Jackman, Patricia Kilpatrick and Dorothy Zordel.

He will be inurned with military honors in the Russell City Cemetery at a later date.

Cremation Center of Kansas City is in charge of arrangements.
