Green Fest is coming. What is Green Fest, you ask. It is the community project planned and sponsored by Fort Hays State University's Leadership 310 Green Fest Team with the Ellis County 4-H scholarship and development fund. When is Green Fest? It's 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday. Where is Green Fest? It will be in the Schenk Building at the Ellis County Fairgrounds.
What is planned? Fun things for children to do such as pop bottle rockets, cupcake decorating and Health Rocks. Carla Morrical-Frederking of "Home Cooking with Carla" will be back for the adult part of the day. There also will be door prizes.
This project will help raise money for summer camp fees and provide scholarship money for senior 4-H ers.
Tickets can still be purchased at the Ellis County Extension office, 601 Main. For adults, it's $5, children age 5 to 18, $1, and children younger than 4 are free. Anyone with questions can call (785) 629-9430.
Come to the 4-H Green Fest to show your support of the 4-H youth in Ellis County.
