Leona Hoffman, 101, Victoria, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at Villa St. Francis, Olathe.

She was born Feb. 6, 1914, in Catherine to Peter and Anna (Ubert) Giebler.

She married Alphonse A. Hoffman in 1942. He preceded her in death in l987. She was a homemaker and lived in Victoria until 1989, then moved to Kansas City.

She was a member of St. Fidelis Basilica and Daughters of Isabella.

Survivors include a son, Tom Hoffman and wife, Kathalie, Hays; two daughters, Charlene Goodnow and Joann (Hoffman) Hylwa, Overland Park; a brother, Norman Giebler, Peculiar, Mo.; three sisters, Zita Kuhn, Overland Park, Rita Legleiter, Liebenthal; and Helen Hagaman, Plainville; seven grandchildren, Tracey Hoffman and wife Stacey, Leawood, Troy Hoffman, Overland Park, Scott Goodnow, Las Vegas, Mike Goodnow and wife, Amy, Olathe, and Jonathan, Jeffery and Sarah Hoffman, Overland Park; two great-grandsons, Grant and Gavin Hoffman, Leawood; and a great-granddaughter, Avery Goodnow, Olathe.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bernard, Overland Park; two sons-in-law, Jim Goodnow, Leawood, and Ted Hylwa; three brothers, Robert, Celly and Paul; and three sisters, Mary and Bernita, Catherin, and Lucida Geist.

Services will be held in Overland Park; burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery,Victoria.
