Clem Reitmayer, 90, Quinter, died Sunday, June 19, 2016, at his home.

He was born Oct. 23, 1925, in rural Ellis County to John and Clara (Shuster) Reitmayer.

He married Katherine Margaret Malson on June 15, 1948, in Collyer. He was a U.S. Navy veteran during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gerald, Derby, and Lawrence, Camdenton, Mo.; a sister, Minnie Kerksiek, Colorado; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Park; burial in Kansas Veterans Cemetery, WaKeeney.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter.

A vigil will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice Services Inc. & Palliative Care of Northwest Kansas, WaKeeney Veterans of Foreign Wars, in care of the funeral home.
