Celebration Community Church is hosting its fifth annual Mission Auction and Variety show Saturday at the Fox Pavilion.

The event has been moved to the Fox and scheduled close to Valentines Day in order to promote this as a fun night out for family and friends.

In years past, the Mission Auction has been held in conjunction with Celebration's Annual Thanksgiving Dinner at the Ellis County Fair Grounds, but it has grown too large to do all in one day.

The funds raised from this auction help support youth, college and adult mission trips, new church starts, local para-church ministries like Young Life and Christian Challenge, plus agencies like First Call for Help and the Community Assistance Center who help those locally who are in need.

The Variety Show will be laden with quality entertainment with artist's like Kayla Cooper Atkins performing. We will even hear a new number from last years "Hays Has Talent" winners Debbie & Kyle Ermoian.

Dozens of auction items have been donated by groups and individuals within the church as well as gener ous Hays merchants. One small group is donating a night at an elegant Bed & Breakfast in Kansas City.A local group of men is donating a work day. Another family whose husband is a trained chef is donating a gourmet romantic meal.

Tickets for the evening are $15.00 each which includes a variety of hot Hor's d' houvres prepared by the Fox's culinary staff. Dozens of auction items have been donated and will be displayed throughout the room.

The event kicks off at 6pm with the doors opening at 5:30 p.m. The Auction and Variety show will start at 7 p.m.

Director of Ministries Patrick McGinnis envisions the Mission Auction and Variety Show becoming a huge community event and an opportunity for the Celebration Community Church to reach out in a positive way to the Hays community and beyond.
