Glen Armbruster, age 82, of Hays, Kansas, died Monday, June 20, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Society Hays. He was born on February 12, 1940, in Trego County to John and Mary (Gassner) Armbruster.
In 1961 he met and married Helen “Babe” Groff in Ellis. Glen, a farmer by trade, also worked in the oil patch as a roughneck for several companies. He was a cattleman, a skilled metal craftsman, and a master welder. Pinochle was his game of choice, and he loved his dogs.
He is survived by his wife: Helen; sons: Glenn ‘Todd’ (Lora) Armbruster of Hays; Micah and fiancée (Aundi) Armbruster of Denver; daughter: Sonja (Dennis) Ferris of Hays; six grandchildren: Zachariah; Cassandra; Candra; Donovan; Isabelle; and Lila; and six great grandchildren: Camdyn; Prisayus; Everleigh; Draxton; Dylan; and Rowan.
Memorial services will be at 1 PM on Saturday, July 2nd at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1112 Canterbury Drive. The service will be video streamed and the link can be requested at 845-309-5343.
