Judith Kathlene “Judy” Windholz

Judith Kathlene “Judy” Windholz, 78, of Salina, Kan., passed away Mon­day, August 29, 2022. She was born June 15, 1944, in Topeka, Kan., to Ray­mond and Martina (Boos) Walters. She married Er­nest Windholz on June 16, 1962, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays, Kan.
Judy worked at General Battery/Exide, the Salina Journal, and Dillons. She enjoyed her weekly bingo games, volunteering at the Food Bank, going to Bo­gey’s and Sonic, visiting the library several times a week, and going to the casino. Judy loved camping, boating, and fishing, and spending time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ernest, of the home; sons, Steven (Melissa), of Salina, and Mark (Amy), of Baytown, TX; sister, Linda Nolan (Tom), of Aurora, Colo.; grandchildren, Rachael, Brandon, Josh, Jake, Sheldon, Jerad, and Cindy; and great-grandchildren, Colton, Blake, Bryan, Isabella, Jaxon, Bentley, Jazmine, Charlie, Ivy, and Violet.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and son, Brian Windholz.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2022, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, with a vigil service at 5:30. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 3, at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, Salina, with burial to fol­low at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Salina.
Memorials may be made for Masses at St. Mary’s Catholic Church or the Alzheimer’s Association, care of Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
