OAKLEY — An Oakley man was injured in a crash Thursday afternoon in Logan County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Paul M. VanEaton, 39, Oakley, was driving a 1996 Dodge Stratus westbound on Old U.S. Highway 40 at about 4:15 p.m. Thursday.
At the junction with U.S. Highway 83, a 2006 Kenworth driven by Ricardo A. Diaz, 49, Garden City, failed to yield the right of way while turning left from U.S. 83 to U.S. 40. The Stratus hit the tires of the Kenworth’s trailer.
VanEaton was taken to Logan County Hospital, Oakley; he was not wearing a safety restraint, according to the KHP.
Diaz was not injured.
