GOODLAND — A Colorado man was injured Saturday after his vehicle hit a guardrail while passing a semi just feet away from the state line.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Richard English, 51, Aurora, Colo, was eastbound on Interstate 70 at 11:03 a.m. Saturday passing a semi when its trailer leaned into the left lane.
English slammed on the brakes of the 2008 Chevrolet HHR he was driving and lost control, hitting the guardrail on the driver’s side. The vehicle came to rest against the guardrail facing westbound.
He was taken to Goodland Regional Medical Center. He was wearing a safety restraint, according to the KHP.
