GREAT BEND — Two Rush County teens and a child were injured in a one-vehicle crash Wednesday evening near Albert.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2002 Dodge pickup driven by Thomas G. Harmon, 18, Otis, was northbound on Rush County Road 370 about shortly after 6 p.m. 5 miles west of Albert when Thomas lost control of the truck on the gravel.
The pickup left the road, hitting an embankment and rolled one-and-a-half times, landing on the driver’s side.
Thomas and passengers Rebekah Harmon, 14, and Ryan Harmon, 10, also both of Otis, were taken to Great Bend Regional Hospital with injuries. Rebekah and Ryan were using safety restraints. The KHP said it was unknown if Thomas was using one.
