LIBERAL — The Hays High boys golf team wrapped up a Western Athletic Conference championship with a solid outing in the Liberal Invitational on Tuesday.

Hays placed second as a team in the tournament with a 327, finishing three strokes behind Garden City. 

Hays' Tradgon McCrae, the WAC player of the year, won the tournament with a 76. He carded a 39 on the front nine and had a 37 on the back nine. 

The Indians also got top-ten finishes from Josh Norris (fourth, 79) and Allen Zollinger (sixth, 81). Erik Kreutzer shot a 91 and Peyton Kieffer had a 96 to round out the top four scores for Hays.
