(GH) — Four Big Monday contests highlight Kansas basketball’s Big 12 schedule released Wednesday.
The Jayhawks will host Texas (8 p.m. Jan. 14), Iowa State (8 p.m. Jan. 21) and Kansas State (6 or 8 p.m. Feb. 25) and travel to TCU (8 p.m. Feb. 11) for the Big Monday clashes to be televised on ESPN. It will be the 13th consecutive year KU will be featured four times on Big Monday, where the Jayhawks are 65-18 all-time and 45-12 under coach Bill Self.
Coming off a run to the Final Four last season, KU opens conference play with an 8 p.m. Jan. 2 matchup against Oklahoma at Allen Fieldhouse. Sixteen of the Jayhawks’ Big 12 contests will be televised on the ESPN family of networks, while CBS will broadcast the team’s contests against Texas Tech (3 p.m. Feb. 2) and at Oklahoma State (11 a.m. March 2) to complete the round-robin league schedule.
KU will wrap Big 12 play with an 11 a.m. March 9 home date against Baylor.
Kansas State, meanwhile, will play in three Big Monday clashes, all on the road in the final three weeks of the regular season. In addition to the matchup with the Jayhawks, the Wildcats will travel to West Virginia (8 p.m. Feb. 18) and TCU (8 p.m. March 4).
