NORTON — The Norton High School football team had a big rushing night, handing Thomas More Prep-Marian a 24-0 defeat Friday at Travis Field.
Gavin Sproul rushed for two scores as Norton moved to 3-3 overall and 2-1 in Class 2A, District 8 play. TMP-Marian, which lost its fourth straight, fell to 1-5 and 0-3 in district play.
Norton had more than 300 yards of offense, compared to less than 100 for TMP. Ryan Lively added a rushing score for Norton, which will be at home again to face Ellsworth this week. TMP will take on Minneapolis (3-3, 1-2) at Lewis Field Stadium.
