KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Fort Hays State junior forward Santiago Agudelo has been named MIAA Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday by the league office. This is the third time Agudelo has achieved the honor this season.
Agudelo had another huge week for No. 12 ranked Fort Hays State, recording 10 points in the victory over Southwest Baptist. He connected on five goals in the win, setting the FHSU program record for goals scored (five) and total points (ten) in a single match. Agudelo now holds the all-time conference record for the most goals scored in a single match.
The Tigers, who moved up to No. 12 in the latest edition of the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II poll, begin a three-match road swing this weekend as they travel north to Bismarck, N.D. to take on the University of Mary at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
