A former Hays USD 489 paraeducator accused of soliciting sexual relations with a student entered a plea Thursday to a lesser charge rather than face trail later this month.
Taylor Rogers pleaded no contest in Ellis County District Court to aggravated endangerment of a child.
She had originally been charged with attempted unlawful sexual relations for attempting to solicit a sexual act from a 17-year-old Hays High School student in November. The student refused, according to court documents.
Sentencing will be 9 a.m. Dec. 10. The plea agreement recommends 18 months of probation.
Rogers was scheduled to go to trial on the original charge Nov. 27 and 28.
