Two juxtaposed items from this morning's news (Friday 11/9/2018):

1) Twelve people, including a soon-to-retire sheriff's sergeant whose actions prevented more victims, fatally shot and 21 injured at a country music bar in Thousand Oaks, California. At lease one fatality and one survivor had survived the Las Vegas carnage 13 months ago when at least 58 people were killed and nearly 500 others were injured.

2) One person stabbed to death and two wounded in an ISIS terrorist attack in Melbourne, Australia.

It is apparently safer in Australia during an ISIS terrorist attack than in the United States during another "lone wolf" shooting rampage.

Sadly, we should keep our flags at half staff permanently.
