Elsie Bittel, 85, WaKeeney, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital, Long Term Care, WaKeeney.

She was born Feb. 21, 1933, in Park, to Edmond Cecil and Helen Margaret (Gallagher) Goetz.

She married Wilbur Bittel on Jan. 7, 1956, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Park. He preceded her in death Feb. 10, 1993.

Survivors include children Kevin Bittel and wife, Sandy, of Highlands Ranch, Colo., and Toni and husband, Mark Hotzel, Bloomington, Ill.; and sisters, Delores Deines, WaKeeney, and Patsy Radcliffe, Ohio.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at Christ the King Catholic Church, WaKeeney. Private family burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery, St. Peter.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday evening with a parish vigil following at 7 p.m. All will take place at the funeral home in WaKeeney.
