Western Kansas law enforcement are searching for a culprit in an armed robbery at a WaKeeney drugstore Wednesday afternoon.
According to a Facebook post by the WaKeeney Police Department, the robbery happened at about 2 p.m. at Cleland’s Pharmacy.
The Trego County Sheriff’s Office reported on Facebook he showed a gun to the clerk and stole prescription narcotics.
The man was described as 5-feet, 8-inches to 6 feet tall, white with dark brown or black hair with a medium-length full beard. He was wearing a dark colored stocking cap, black jacket or hooded sweatshirt, blue sunglasses, blue jeans, dark tennis shoes with white soles and dark gloves. He was armed with a black handgun of unknown make or model.
He was seen leaving in the passenger side of a gray four-door pickup, possibly a 2015 Ford F-150, according to the police department. There is no description of the driver. The vehicle headed northbound from First Street and Barclay Avenue in WaKeeney.
