A Scott City woman died in a head-on crash with a semi south of Hoxie Thursday evening.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Betty L. Eisenhower, 84, was driving a 2012 Camaro northbound 4 miles south of Hoxie on Kansas Highway 23 shortly after 6 p.m. when she struck the load of a southbound oversized tractor-trailer crossing a bridge.
The Camaro came to rest in the east ditch. She was wearing a safety restraint.
The driver of the semi, Johan Harder, 49, Winkler, Manitoba, did not have apparent injuries but was taken to Logan County Hospital, according to the KHP.
