A Goodland man was sentenced Tuesday to more than seven years in prison on charges of attempted aggravated indecent solicitation of a child and interference with law enforcement.

Judge Blake Bittle sentenced Eric Wayne Clayville, 42, to 87 months, according to a release Thursday from Trego County Attorney Chris Lyon.

The conviction from Dec. 21 stems from an incident that occurred in June 2018 at the WaKeeney public swimming pool. Clayville will be required to register as a sex offender and will be on lifetime post-release.
