GREAT BEND — Two top-three finishes from junior Megan Flavin highlighted the Hays High girls' swim team's performance in Thursday's triangular with Campus and Great Bend. 

Flavin took second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:16.82, finishing just 0.2 of a second behind the winner. 

In the 50 freestyle, Flavin placed third with a time of 28.43, just .1 away from state consideration.

Freshman Sophia Durham and sophomore Siera Smith led the freestyle relay team by shaving off 15 seconds from their previous mark this season to 2:05.97.

Sophomore Katie Christen held on for 7th in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:32.09,

"A great performance at the pool for just the second meet of the season," Hays High coach Luke Lundmark said.
