The Thomas More Prep-Marian softball team cruised to 11-1 and 15-0 run-rule victories in Thursday's doubleheader sweep of Holcomb at TMP Field. 

The Monarchs, who improved to 3-3 on the season, had five players notch multi-hit performances in the first game. 

Emilee Augustine and MK Dwyer went 3 for 4 at the plate. Augustine drove in four runs and had two doubles. 

Kyleigh Allen, Sophia Coulter and Emma Pope each had two hits. Allen tossed all six innings, allowing a run and five hits while striking out 10. 

The Monarchs jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first inning of the nightcap and forced the run rule after three innings. Leanne  had three hits while Emily Schulte, Lexi Gottschalk, Pope and Augustine each had two hits. Pope had four RBIs. 

TMP will play Garden City at home next Thursday. 

TMP SOCCER FALLS TO GREAT BEND

The Thomas More Prep-Marian girls' soccer team dropped to 0-4 with a 4-0 loss to Dodge City at Bickle-Schmidt Sports Complex on Thursday. 

The Monarchs will play at Dodge City on Thursday.
