TUMBLING

HEAD OVER HEELS TUMBLING – Deadline Extended

Flips, turns, twists, and rolls will be some of the skills that you will learn in this fun-filled tumbling class designed to enhance muscle coordination and strength. Students will learn forward and backward rolls, bridges, and cartwheels. Progression will depend on each student’s abilities. This is a 5-week course! This class will aid you in learning a variety of tricks and increasing strength, balance, flexibility, and coordination. Progression will depend on individual abilities. Prerequisites for this course are a bridge, handstand & cartwheel. This is a 5-week course! BEER & BRATS UNDERACHeIVER RACE

I don’t know if I can? WE KNOW YOU CAN! Just 31,680 inches, 2640 feet or 0.5 miles. We have faith that everyone one of you can make it! You get an awesome souvenir t-shirt, Free beer at the “water station”, and a Brat at the finish line. Let’s show those runners how it’s done! HOW TO CREATE A T-SHIRT QUILT

T-shirt quilts are a great gift idea and remedy for the box of shirts we love but don’t wear anymore. In this “How To” course you will learn how to cut, stabilize, design, piece, and finish a quilt in a traditional finished look. Sewing experience is required but for this course, you will not need to bring your sewing machine. I will provide handouts to help take the information home and a Teflon sheet for stabilizing. A supply list will be given at the time of registration so register early! If you are looking to start sewing take the Beginner’s Sewing class and get in some experience so you can join us for this class as well. There will be seven sessions this Fall & Winter her is the October one. Learn the basic stitches of knitting during this class. You will learn how to make a dishcloth. As a part of the fee, each participant will receive a pair of knitting needles and yarn. BUILD YOUR OWN TERRARIUM

Join K-State Research and Extension for an evening of terrarium building! Build your own mini-ecosystem in glass containers and learn everything necessary to grow healthy succulent plants in an enclosed glass vessel. All materials will be provided, but you are more than welcome to bring your own terrarium container. No experience necessary. YOUTH LEISURE/FITNESS PROGRAMS

GYM TIME

Come to the gym with your child just to burn off energy or meet some other kids. Materials will be placed in the gym for your child to climb over under and through. Balls, hoops, riding toys and other materials will be placed around the gym for them to explore with. Stay for the hour or come and go as you please. STROLLER FUN

Calling all moms for a morning workout. This is a 30-minute class with an all-over body conditioning to fit all levels of fitness. Bring your stroller age child and let’s move around. At the conclusion of the class let your little one join in the fun with climbers where they will get their workout on. EDIBLE ART

Have your imagination ready for this class. We will be creating food into art projects. The best thing is we get to enjoy eating the projects when finished. We will be using peanut butter and other food items for this class. OOEY GOOEY ART

WEE WIGGLERS

Wee Wigglers is a great way to develop gross motor skills and social interaction with other children. In this fun-filled class, children will utilize parachutes, foam balls, bean bags, scooters, and more, in fun and exciting ways! WIGGLES & GIGGLES

Get your child registered for this program, and watch them wiggle and giggle their time away. This will be a structured playtime where your child can have fun running and playing. They will get to play with balls and balloons, dance, and just have fun playing with other kids.
