Norva Pruter, 87, Great Bend, formerly of Natoma, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, at Harry Hynes Hospice, Wichita.
She was born on Oct. 1, 1932, in Natoma, to Joseph and Adeline (Stiverson) Weldon. She grew up in Natoma and was a 1950 graduate of Natoma High School. She attended Kansas City Bible College, Overland Park.
She married Ray Eldon Pruter on Sept. 28, 1951, in Natoma. He preceded her in death Apr. 29, 2014. She was a stay-at-home mom until her children were grown and then worked as a kitchen employee at the Russell Senior Center until retiring in 1999.
Survivors include one daughter Jodell Glick, Winfield; two sons Dale E. Pruter and Kenny Pruter, both of Great Bend; a sister Elsie Richmond, Plainville; four 4 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Great Bend First Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Natoma City Cemetery, Natoma.
Visitation will be Thursday at 9 a.m. prior to the service.
