Hays Regional Airport returns to a second daily flight to Denver International Airport beginning Monday, July 6.

The resumption follows a temporary suspension by SkyWest, providing service for United Express, in light of decreased travel demand from COVID-19.

Service was reduced by the pandemic to only a 10:25 a.m. daily departure flight on SkyWest’s Bombardier CRJ-200 to DIA, and a return flight arriving at 8:33 p.m.

Starting July 6, Hays will have one nonstop daily departure from Hays at 10:26 a..m., arriving DIA at 10:35 a.m.; and a second flight departing Hays at 2:50 p.m., stopping at Dodge City Regional Airport, and arriving DIA at 4:17 p.m.

From Denver, a daily nonstop flight will leave DIA at 12:05 p.m., arriving Hays at 2:20 p.m.; and a nonstop flight will leave DIA at 5:55 p.m., arriving Hays at 8:15 p.m.

Fares as low as $111 each way to Denver are currently offered, subject to availability. These fares can be booked on United.com or through a preferred travel agent or website.

The health and safety of the travelling public is top priority of the Hays Regional Airport, United, and SkyWest. Face coverings are required of all travelers and social distancing guidelines are to be followed throughout the airport. United and SkyWest are following or exceeding all CDC guidelines for aircraft cleaning, including electrostatic spraying – as well as minimizing touchpoints throughout the airport and onboard the aircraft.

In partnership with the Cleveland Clinic and Clorox – and under the direction of the airline industry’s only on-site Medical Director – United has introduced United CleanPlus, a comprehensive set of procedures and protocols designed to protect travelers and their families, as well as air travel employees.
