Don Mollenkamp, 97, WaKeeney, died Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, at Trego County-Lempke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney.

He was born March 9, 1920, near Arnold to Louis and Alvina (Huehl) Mollenkamp.

He married Vivian McKinley on March 1, 1944, in WaKeeney. She preceded him in death, March 21, 1982. He was a farmer and stockman.

He was a member of United Methodist Church, Arnold. He enjoyed weekly meals and activities at the Ransom Senior Center, bowling and dancing in earlier years.

Survivors include two daughters, Corlie Halbleib and husband, Chet, Tucson, Ariz., and Leisa Hansen and husband, Tim, Colby; two sons, Gerald Mollenkamp and wife, Donna, Oxford, and Kirby Mollenkamp and wife, Dorothy, WaKeeney; 12 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Alfred, Walter and George Mollenkamp; three sisters, Nettie Huxman, Luella Griffith and Mildred Smith; and a great-granddaughter, Mia Dickson.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City; burial in Arnold Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
